Rangoon Watches Company Introduction

Rangoon Watches Company (RWC) is an entity, set up for raising funds for Burmese who are suffering from military coup and civil war and also for promoting the awareness for the plight of Burma. RWC is based in the city of Melbourne, the capital city of the Australian state of Victoria.

Aung Kyaw Soe, BE (YTU), MEng (NUS, Singapore), PDEng (TU/eindhoven, the Netherlands), MBA (Warwick, UK), PhD (Deakin, Australia) has started RWC for his love of Analog Wrist Watches and the care for his old country, Burma. He called it Rangoon Watches for he was born and raised in Rangoon, Burma.

RWC watches are limited edition watches. They come with unique serial numbers and all watches are tracked by RWC. The uniqueness of RWC watches is that they always have Daw Aung San Suu Kyi
image on the dial and one of her quotes at the case back.

RWC was launched in 2022 and by December 2022, RWC has made three limited edition watches models: MK-1(Mark-1, the first model), MK-2 (Mark-II, the second model) and MK-3 (Mark-III the third model) of Rangoon Watches for Burma.

The way RWC raises funds is that RWC facilitates fund raisers by donating and providing watches. RWC will contribute to and donate the limited edition Rangoon watches to Burmese charity groups around the world, Rangoon watches are sold by auction or be used as lucky draw prizes in Raffles. Those charities will have freedom to donate to their favourite causes. The sales and the proceedings
from those Raffles and Auctions are decoupled from RWC.
